September 11th - Gaucin Rio Genal

An afternoon visit to the river in the Genal valley on a lovely sunny afternoon gave me plenty to look at in the way of migrants. Common Redstart, Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Pied & Spotted Flycatcher all put in an appearance.

Some local birds also made it onto the list: Sardinian & Cetti's Warbler, Serin, Red-rumped Swallow and Griffon Vulture.

A few nice Dragonflies were on show too: Zygonyx torridus, Trithemis annulata, Crocothemis erythraea & Onychogomphus forcipatus
